  • What is an Abatement Meter?
Sewer-use costs are often calculated based on water usage. Abatement programs allow customers to add a second meter that deducts the water used by the irrigation system from the total water usage. This results in a lower sewage bill. To determine whether your community offers an abatement program, contact the following: RI: Narragansett Bay Commission at (401)461-8848. MA: The local sewer or water department for your city/town.

  • Will my yard be significantly damaged during installation?
We use a vibratory plow to create a slit in the ground and pull the pipe through, minimizing the damage to the lawn. In clean, stone-free soil, the slit is easily closed after installation and mends quickly. In rockier soil, it sometimes takes a little longer for the lawn to mend. Holes are only dug to place the sprinkler heads and the valve box.
